Baby Shower

What is more exciting than a baby shower!!!  The anticipation of a new little life soon to appear on your doorstep.  Now double that when twins are on the way!  Yes, you heard me right!

We had so much fun planning, shopping, and decorating for this event.
My daughter Elizabeth did all the flower  arrangements and they were gorgeous.
As you can see from the picture, our theme was "Oh Babies".

I made the baby blocks and paper flowers with my Silhouette.
It was a beautiful day last spring (unlike this spring) and we were able to eat out on the deck.
Don't you just love all the pink flowers! (Hint: girls???)
The lighting was very poor on this picture but just a peek at those cute little outfits.
My daughter Mollie came up with some great ideas for games.
Little helpers!
Just a little thank you gift for everyone who helped make this event so special.
And yes, they did arrive and yes, we are all thrilled beyond measure.

Every good and perfect gift is from above.
Thanking the Lord for these two little blessings.

Fall Cards for Little Ones!

Grandchildren are wonderful and bring so much joy into our lives.  My Grandchildren do not live close to me and therefore I do not get to see them nearly as often as I would like.  Sending them fun surprises in the mail is one way that helps us to stay connected.  I just love to send them little surprises in the mail!

This card was made using the stamp set  "Nuts about You" from Papertry Ink, and the paper from Simple Stories and Stampin Up.

Along with the cute card I am sending a book called,  "A Pumpkin Prayer".  This is such a sweet book and I know they will love having Mommy and Daddy read it to them.
A chevron paper bag is a fun alternative to an envelope.  I hope this puts a smile on a little face!
The stamp set used on this card is "Polka Dot Parade #8" by Papertry Ink.
This little pumpkin is getting the book "You are My Little Pumpkin Pie" and a Pumpkin hat!   The hat pattern is from the book "Itty Bitty Hats" by Susan B. Anderson.
The card is tucked inside the decorative bag.

I love making gifts for my precious Grandbabies!  It puts a smile on my face just thinking about them!
If you are a Grandma you know
what I mean!   It is the best!!

Love Smoothies!

I love smoothies!  They are so refreshing and actually can be very healthy!   Today I thought it would be fun to share with you a couple smoothie recipes from my good friend Lee Ann.  She is very knowledgeable when it comes to healthy eating! I am always picking her brain for info on how she prepares food and asking for recipes. It's amazing  how yummy "healthy" can be.

Wow, how good does this look!!!  Here is her recipes for a couple delicious drinks!

           Berry Smoothie
4 oz. pomegranate or cherry juice
4 oz. coconut or almond milk
         1 T. chia seeds
1 tsp. flax oil or 1/2 T. flax (ground)
1 rounded T. protein powder of your choice
1/4-1/2 cup frozen blueberries, strawberries, raspberries
         1/8-1/4 c. chopped frozen kale
         Blend all together and enjoy

Banana & Peach Smoothie
4 oz. pineapple juice
4 oz. coconut milk or almond milk
1 T. chia seeds
1 tsp. flax oil or 1/2 T. flax (ground)
1 rounded T. protein powder of your choice
l/2 frozen banana
4 slices frozen peach
(optional) frozen mango cubes
Blend all together and enjoy

Notice the pot of fresh mint?  Lee Ann grows many herbs and uses them in the kitchen.  What a great way to garnish a smoothie.

Lee Ann, thanks so much for sharing!

A Stroll around the Yard!

It's a beautiful morning!  Grab a cup of coffee and let's take a stroll around my little corner of the world.
I absolutely love hydrangeas!  This is a young plant which has only one bloom but that one bloom just continues to put on quit a show.  Isn't it beautiful!!
This year the real show stopper in my backyard is this window box.  Don't you just love the teacups!!
This window box is right outside my craft room window so I get to enjoy it from inside too.
This pot of petunias is right below the window box and equally as spectacular!  I think it is competing with the window box for my attention.  Ha!
The cone flower, one of my favorites, are blooming right now.
They are tucked in around the yard in various places, adding pops of color.
Black eyed Susan's are another great flower.  They are easy to grow and add so much color to the yard.
Every flower garden needs a fountain!  The sound of water is so serene.
The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness of it, the world and they who dwell in it.  Psalm 24:1

Thanks for stopping by today!
God bless your day!

Decorating My Patio with Flea Market Finds!

Hi Everyone!
On thing I love about summer is going to flea markets.  It's hunting for bargain's, dragging them home and doing something unique and creative with the "finds".  I call them "finds", as it sounds better than junk!!    Would you like to peek around my patio today and see some of my finds?
This old lantern was one of my latest finds.  I tied a flag onto it for the 4th and hung it on the patio.
The lantern actually works.
As you can see it adds a fun glow to the patio after dark!
Another find was this old pot.
I planted some succulents in it and added an old broken clay pot for some added interest.
This old box was another find.  I set it on a metal stool. filled it with some goodies and use it as an end table.
Next find was an old lampshade.  I tore off the old fabric which was nasty and since it was for outside all I wanted to use was the frame anyway.  I just love it!
It lights up my patio after dark, making it so warm and cozy.
How about a game of tick tack toe!!

Some of my favorite summer memories are spent on the patio with family and friends.

Stop by again!
Blessings!

Hello Everyone!  Don't you just love summer.  The decorating possibilities expand to include the outside of our homes as well as the inside.  Here is a peek at my outside decorating.
How about something beautiful and dramatic on the front door.  I purchased this basket several years ago and just love to change it with the seasons.  This summer I tucked a smaller grapevine wreath inside the basket and tied a little sign to the wreath.  Next I filled the basket with soft hydrangeas, roses and vines.  To finish it off I added some burlap and a piece of old vintage lace.
I just love the way it turned out and seriously it was all stuff I had on hand!
Now I did hit a flea market this weekend and just could not leave without this little bird.  Way too sweet!
After looking around for the perfect place to hang it, I decided it was the front porch post.
I have an old screened window which hangs on my front porch.  The window is not only pretty cute but it is functional as far as shading the porch.  Well, I had been looking for a banner to hand on it and the ones I found were either made of paper(which wouldn't hold up outside) or they were just too expensive.
Sometimes we just have to take matters into our own hands.  Some burlap, twine, old lace, buttons, etc.  Just about anything you can find will work.

My front porch might be small but that doesn't stop me from decorating it.  A cozy front porch is sure to bless your guest and welcome you home each time you leave.

I have so much more to share with you so stop by for a visit again soon.  You don't want to miss all the great outdoors decorating ideas.

Blessings from my front porch to yours.

A Golf Party!

Hi Everyone!  Today I thought it would be fun to share with you a few pictures from a recent party.  It was a bachlorette party and since the bride-to-be enjoys sports we went with a golf theme.

This was a sign which was posted outside the house.
Each guest received a fun visor to wear for the night.  The white one, of course is for the bride.
Isn't this the cutest little pink and white golf cart!!!!
How good do these look!!
Wine glasses with pink and green ribbon, tags, and golf tees.
Pink straws with a decorated with little flags and golf balls.

It is fun to share ideas and maybe a few of these ideas will help with planning your next party.

Thanks for stopping by.
