Hi Everyone! Its another wet dreary day but look at the positive, its kinda fun to have some time to work inside. I have been using this time to browse through magazines or blogs and plan for the upcoming planting etc. in the yard. I really don't consider myself a gardener but I will do what it takes to have the garden look nice. Planting pots of flowers and adding annuals amongst the perennials and scrubs. The part I love is adding all the fun pieces of yard art etc. that gives so much character and uniqueness to the garden. This is the time of year when I am motivated to hit some flea markets and drag home some old antique item to incorporate into the garden. To help get those creative juices flowing, I wanted to share with you some more ideas from this great blog, http://confessionsofacurbshopaholic.blogspot.com/2010/06/garden-gallery-show-sale-part-1.html . If you haven't yet, you really need to check it out.
This could also be done with an old metal lunch pail. Great way to recycle this old tool box.
All of these ideas are so fun and guess what??? There are many more ideas so be sure and check out the above blog.
Well, until sunnier days, dream on gardeners. It can't rain forever so lets be ready to plant those flower and add some fun items to our gardens.
May all your Garden Dreams come true!
Cozy blessing !

Monday in the Making! - He Makes All Things New!
Easter is such a joyous holiday! Yesterday it was wonderful to wake up to sunshine and blue skies. It just seemed to announce that Christ had risen, is alive, and that it was a day to rejoice. New beginnings, new growth is everywhere, on the trees, bushes, the grass is green and bird are busy building their nests. The earth is alive with the goodness of the Lord! What a testimony to us that even when the skies are gray and our hearts seem cold, the Lord has a good plan! A plan of restoration and new beginnings.
Today it is raining again and the sky is not so blue but the joy of Easter is still in my heart. Christ is alive, He lives in my heart and He makes all things new!
In keeping with the theme, "He Makes All Things New" , I wanted to share with you some ideas that I found to recycle items to use as yard art in the garden. All these ideas came from a great blog http://confessionsofacurbshopaholic.blogspot.com/2010/06/garden-gallery-show-sale-part-1.html . Be sure and check it out for lots of great ideas not only for the garden but inside your home as well.
Isn't this just so much fun! I have always loved picket fences and the arbor made from old doors makes it over the top. This is on my want list for my yard. It would add so much character to any space.
Hope these ideas get your creative juices flowing. This makes me want to get out in the yard and get going. Remember, new season, new beginning, new growth and restoration as the old is made new.
New Beginnings and New Blessings!

Warmth of Home Wednesday-Peeking around the House!
After a long winter my home is dressed for spring. I enjoy changing things with the seasons. This keeps home fresh, fun, and full of surprises. Want to take a peek?
This little guy greets guests as they enter our home. He is holding a bouquet of Violets. So sweet! This rabbit is sitting on the floor. The one below belonged to my husbands Grandmother, making it pretty special. Every spring they come out of hiding.
It is also fun to put little surprises in the china cabinet too. See how cute they look tucked in amongst the dishes.
More rabbits are displayed on the shelf in my dinning room. These are some of my favorites!
Keep your eyes open for bird nests and eggs!
And what is Easter without a cross! The symbol of the sacrific Jesus made for all who will receive Him. The great victory He won so that we might have a victorious life now and for eternity. Thanks for peeking around the house with me. Have a Blessed Spring and a Victorious Easter.

Finished Friday- Easter Blossoms!
It's Friday!! Everyone looks forward to the weekend and I am no exception. It is so nice to have my husband home and just to have things low keyed instead of the usually work routine. Hope you too will enjoy a break from the Mon.-Fri. routine and by all means do something fun!
Next week is "Card Club", the class I teach once a month. This month we are focusing on Easter Cards using the stamp set "Easter Blossoms" by Stampin Up. What a great set!!
The card designs were found on splitcoaststampers.com . This is a great tool for stampers. There is a huge gallery to browse. You will find great ideas for every stamp set. Go to the Stampin Up gallery and check it out. The cards will also list the supplies used in make it and sometimes helpful tips or directions for the techniques used.
So excited to teach this class and get some cards in the mail for family and friends!
Have a great weekend!
Cozy Blessing!

Warmth of Home Wednesday./ A Special Giftl!
Who doesn't love to get a gift! I sure do and I really don't know of anyone who doesn't! It conveys to the giver that you are a special person. When giving a gift the present itself, before ever being opened, speaks volumes. It has the ability to excite you and make you happy before you even peak inside. It does not have to be elaborate with fancy ribbons and bows. Something simple but creative has the same effect.
Hear is a present I received recently! It is a printed sack decorated with a butterfly cut from old newsprint, a tea stained tag with some lace attached to the bottom, in which to write a message and some colored seam binding. What a great presentation! This was a gift from Traci a shop owner. Her shop is called Whimsy. She has a great blog! http://whimsydecor.blogspot.com/ Do check it out, she has some great stuff!
As a visual person, I love magazines, making this a great gift for me. This magazine is loaded with inspiration. I was pretty excited to get it! Take a look inside at one of the many ideas!!!
This flower arrangement was placed in a vintage dish which adds to its character but I love the way they curled the leaves and tucked them in amongst the flower. .Doesn't this just inspire you to try something new and fresh in your home?
This gift was a home run! It was a perfect gift which was so delightful to receive. It motivated me to give a gift to someone else and be just as creative. Was it expensive, consuming of time and labor? No, just thoughtful and so fun! Keep it simple and creative and bless the socks off of someone special. Remember, "You are blessed to be a blessing!" Let those creative juices flow with love to others!
